Christopher Gorse, author
Professor Christopher Gorse is the Director of the Leeds Sustainability Institute, Head of the Centre for the Built Environment at Leeds Beckett University. He has undertaken research and consultancy in construction, law and sustainability. Professor Gorse specialises in building design, construction and performance with regard to energy efficiency.
Dr David Johnston is a Professor in the Centre of the Built Environment, Leeds Beckett University. He has over twenty years’ experience of applied and theoretical research and consultancy in low carbon housing and is a leading expert in coheating testing and building performance evaluation. His work on low carbon housing has been varied and wide ranging, encompassing theoretical and strategic explorations of climate change targets, their implications for the design and management of the built environment, detailed empirical work on the potential for carbon emission reductions in new and existing housing and detailed evaluations of the fabric and services performance of domestic buildings.
Dr Martin Pritchard is a Reader in Civil Engineering at Leeds Beckett University. He is a Civil Engineer and has conducted extensive international work on water purification systems and developed sustainable approaches to infrastructure works in developing countries. He also has a particular interest in geotechnics.
