The financial services team is dedicated to providing friendly and efficient services to students and families. We’re here to help you plan your educational expenses, set up a payment plan and make payments, and to answer questions about your student account.

Alma College Payment Plan

Alma College has partnered with PayMyTuition to offer an interest free Payment Plan to enable students or their families to make monthly installments on their student account towards tuition, fees and room and board. The payment plan is not a loan and is available for the fall and winter semesters for up to five automatic installments per semester. Enrolling in this plan requires a non-refundable $35 fee per plan.

Fall Semester – July, August, September, October, and November. Deadline to enroll is August 9. (5 payments if enrolled by July)
Winter Semester – December, January, February, March, and April. Deadline to enroll is January 5. (5 payments if enrolled by December)

It will be up to the discretion of the Alma College Financial Services Office if late enrollment will be allowed. The payment plan will automatically readjust if charges are added or removed from the student’s account.

Payment Methods

You may choose to pay your account in full or in part and/or enroll in a payment plan. Any portion of the account that is unpaid or not enrolled in a payment plan will be subject to late payment fees.

Billing Statement Information

Alma College will send a notice by email to all students indicating your bill is ready to be reviewed in self service. Students will be responsible for accessing their online statement for their account balances and payment due dates. We always welcome office visits, phone calls or emails with questions!

*Failure to pay your bill will result in late fee charges. They post on the 3rd Friday of each month until the bill is paid in full.

Proxy Access

We’re excited to introduce a new feature to student accounts: Proxy Access. This addition gives students the opportunity to allow access to financial account information to a parent or guardian of their choosing.

Assign a Proxy

A student and only a student at Alma College can select the individual(s) as his/her proxy to view a student’s statement of accounts and/or make a payment on his/her behalf. Already signed up? Log on here.

Student Privacy under FERPA

This designation does not take the place of the protections afforded to the student under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Release of a student’s educational record is still not allowed without the student’s written consent, including to parents, family members and designated proxies. Therefore, Alma College will be unable to answer any questions about the information made available to a proxy without said written consent. The student can complete Consent for Disclosure form online to provide outside parties additional access to his/her educational records.

Proxy Login
Once a student sets up access for the proxy, the following will happen:

The proxy will receive two emails. The first email consists of the proxy’s username and the link to the proxy portal system. The second email the proxy will receive provides a temporary password.
Upon initial log in, the proxy will be prompted to change his/her password. Once the proxy is logged in, they should click on the student’s name to view their financial account.
